OUR STORY...

Red Barn Produce is a woman-owned & family-operated wholesale produce company located in Highland, NY.

In 1989, after years of working in local restaurants, Tam and I went into business for ourselves. Equipped with an old pick-up truck, we attached a wooden cap that bore a striking resemblance to a "red barn" and began delivering vegetables to local restaurants, and so the name Red Barn Produce was born. Soon after starting Red Barn Produce, we identified the need for a local and specialty fruit and vegetable distributor here in the Hudson Valley. For more than 30 years Red Barn Produce has been providing the finest local and specialty produce to the Hudson Valley.

Our reputation has been built on delivering quality fruits and vegetables. Along with an extensive network of domestic and international vendors, we work with more than 30 local farms to bring the best of what the bountiful Hudson Valley has to offer in seasonal and sustainable fruits and vegetables. In addition to fresh produce, we also distribute local farm-fresh dairy items, grains, meats and artisanal foods.

Having spent years in the restaurant business, we know what is important to our customers. Red Barn Produce offers competitive prices without sacrificing quality. And,  as a certified USDA-inspected vendor we can provide service to educational, health care, and other institutions, as well as to fine restaurants.  Delivery happens  six days a week, we provide a list of weekly specials, and will always strive to excel at customer service.

Tam and I truly care about our customers and the community.  Our focus on service is why we answer calls personally, welcome special requests, and stand behind what we sell. Red Barn Produce is dedicated to supporting family-run farms, ensuring the economic vitality of local communities and environmental sustainability, as well as giving back to those in need.  We will continue to pride ourselves on offering our customers responsive, competent and excellent service.  Our customers are the most important part of our business, and we work tirelessly to ensure your complete satisfaction, now and for as long as you are a customer.
